Hamidia Girls’ Degree College is the only constituent College of the University of Allahabad which provides higher education to the purdah observing girls of the minority community. To achieve this objective the University provides us all the rights enshrined in the Constitution of India along with other possible and well deserved support.

The college provides wide range of vocational subjects along with conventional subjects to enable our students to become economically independent by the time they pass out from the college. These subject are- Computer Application in Social Sciences, Office Management & Secretarial Practices, Fashion Designing and Kashidakari, Urdu Journalism & Mass Communication, Proficiency in Arabic Translation and Urdu Calligraphy (Kitabat) .

The college is aspiring to add more vocational subjects in the coming session. Sify wireless broadband multi-user connection and DELNET have already been installed to access all possible libraries of India and abroad. Our aim is to provide an uninhibited and enlightened ambience to our students that will be instrumental in grooming young minds to face the challenges of the modern world .
